INKY ACS August 28 Meeting
Our next meeting will take place on Thursday, August 28, at Kentucky Wesleyan College. We will begin the meeting with pizza at 6:00 PM in room 106 of the Hahn Science Center. The talk will follow at 6:30 in the same room. If you will be joining the Section for pizza, please RSVP to Phillip Voegel (Phillip.voegel@kwc.edu) by 3:00 PM on Wednesday August 27. No RSVP is needed to attend the talk.
Our speaker will be Dr. Kenneth Graham, Associate Professor at the University of Kentucky. His topic is “Chemical and Electrochemical Doping of Organic Semiconductors.”
Dr. Graham’s research group seeks a fundamental understanding of the charge transfer process in semiconductor materials and the development of inexpensive and efficient new semiconductor materials for use in thermoelectric devices and solar energy production. Thermoelectric devices hold the potential to power wearable devices such as smart watches and to improve the efficiency of energy production in automobiles and power plants.
