Dr. Prakash Shrestha (University of Kentucky) presented his research involving the use of optical tweezers to determine the structure and behavior of biomolecules; using this technique, he could examine one molecule at a time. His work is highly interdisciplinary requiring expertise in chemistry, biology and physics.
