Our October meeting was held on the campus of the University of Southern Indiana in Evansville, IN. Dr. Richard Lord, of Grand Valley State University in Michigan, presented his research involving heterobimetallic complexes to model the catalytic behavior of Mo-Cu carbon monoxide dehydrogenase. Dr. Lord’s work is highly interdisciplinary, involving inorganic synthesis, computational chemistry, and biology, and his excellent presentation was delivered at a level that could be understood by the undergraduates in the audience.
